About Us

TechniComm was founded by Dan Brown, who got an early start in technical writing with a degree from Iowa State University in Engineering Journalism in 1973. For the next 19 years, Dan built his writing skills and construction knowledge in positions at leading construction trade publications.

In 1992, Dan created TechniComm's forerunner, Business Communications Ink, to serve the public relations and informational needs of equipment manufacturers, construction associations and trade publications. In carving out that niche, Dan and his associates have set the standard for much that's written about construction and industrial technology. The difference between TechniComm and other PR firms, as Dan explains it, is that we don't shoot in the dark to get our message across. Thanks to our grasp of American construction technology and its companies, we're able to provide just the right balance of information,
insight, and soft-sell.

That's what we mean by customer-friendly. In short, TechniComm represents business-to-business public relations at its best.
